Comprehensive and fully accredited Level 2 one-day INSET courses provide a full insight, explanation and understanding of the latest DfE Guidance and provide your staff with everything they need to implement the Guidance safely and effectively in your setting.

 

Run by the UK’s leading expert in the management of medication and controlled drugs in education settings, the courses will fully train your staff in the understanding of the latest guidelines. Staff will be equipped with the practical knowledge and information they need to implement the Guidance and examine, assess and improve their own current practice.

 

INSET courses can be run in your school or setting at locations throughout the UK on a date that suits you.

 

Accreditation

The course is accredited by One Awards. Accreditation is optional which means that you can choose who you want to be accredited; often just a few of the staff on the course.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for all teaching, childcare, managerial, administrative and support staff who are involved in the support of children in schools and childcare settings with medical needs involving the management of medication or who have responsibility for policy and procedures.

 

No prior experience, qualifications or training is required.

Course Costs

The course can be run at your setting at a considerable saving over the normal delegate fees.

 

We run the INSET course for between 6 and 20 people. The cost for up to 12 people is £1550 + VAT.

 

For between 12 and 20 people we charge pro rata for extra delegates.

 

The optional accreditation is available for £35 + VAT per person.

The Trainer

Julie McGee

 

Julie has worked in education for over 35 years, as a senior leader in a local authority, teacher, trainer, school governor and social worker.  She has a vast experience of working with schools supporting them with the development of policies and procedures, including managing medication in schools.

Julie is a highly skilled trainer and participants speak with enthusiasm about her courses.
